Fun fact: One of the most inventive and memorable marketing campaigns involving video games was for the release of "Resident Evil 6." Capcom, the game's developer, opened a pop-up butcher shop in East London called "Wesker & Son." This shop offered various meat products that were artistically crafted to resemble human body parts, playing off the zombie theme of the game.
The items, ranging from edible human limbs to organ meats, were actually made from various meats suitable for consumption and were designed to shock and intrigue passersby. The campaign aimed to immerse fans and the general public into the eerie, survival horror atmosphere of the "Resident Evil" series, generating buzz and anticipation for the game's release. This unique and somewhat controversial approach to marketing certainly left an unforgettable mark on those who experienced it.
